Every year, TIME magazine publishes the top 100 photos of the previous year.  Most of the top photos of 2023 are about world politics, sports, and special events.


Choose a photo that resonates with you and write a full one-page article.

Day in the Life video

Create a video montage that shows a day in the life of something or someone.  Most 'Day in the Life' projects on YouTube show the entire day, but we will start small and highlight sections of the day


Example: Day in the Life of a Trombone player

  • wake up early in the morning for band practice

  • 'selfie' video of you and instrument

  • crowd shots


We will spend some time learning how to edit video and presentations will be the week before Thanksgiving break

Safety at Home

Upload a drawing of your basic blueprint design (of where you live) and show your fire escape route. This can be drawn on paper or using the "paint" app on your computer.


You will need to list the following five elements on your escape plan: type of room, doors, windows, path of escape, and meeting place. Bonus points if you include a map legend!


Submit your assignment in Canvas when completed.
