Day in the Life video

Create a video montage that shows a day in the life of something or someone.  Most 'Day in the Life' projects on YouTube show the entire day, but we will start small and highlight sections of the day


Example: Day in the Life of a Trombone player

  • wake up early in the morning for band practice

  • shots from morning practice

  • 'selfie' video of you and instrument

  • crowd shots


We will spend some time learning how to edit video and presentations will be the week before Thanksgiving break+

Write about how the evolution of technology has changed the way people communicate, businesses operate, and how information is spread around the world.

I also want to know how technology, or the lack thereof, has changed life for you and your family.

ECU - Shot of shoelaces AND a shot of TV remote buttons

CU - Shot of a snack or food AND a shot of your backpack

MS - Shot of front door AND a shot of a hallway

ELS - Shot of the moon AND a shot of something far away

As we prepare for life after high school, it is important to start planning your potential career path!  


Create a Google Slides presentation with the following information

  • Type of job - brief summary of job

  • Possible positions to promote to - what is the end goal?

  • Average pay per hour or year

  • Position requirements

    • Education requirements

    • Certification requirements

    • Additional requirements

  • Additional Information - add any info that you want to share

Timeline

  • Monday - Brainstorm and choose your career.   Begin research

  • Tuesday - Start building presentation

  • Wednesday - Search for local job opportunities

  • Thursday - Add job postings and complete presentation

  • Friday - Begin presentations

Week of August 21 - 25

Safety at Home

Upload a drawing of your basic blueprint design (of where you live) and show your fire escape route. This can be drawn on paper or using the "paint" app on your computer.


You will need to list the following five elements on your escape plan: type of room, doors, windows, path of escape, and meeting place. Bonus points if you include a map legend!


Submit your assignment in Canvas when completed.
